About us
The studio works in both the traditional leading and foiling methods of stained glass, and is evenly balanced between new designs/commissions as well as restoration work. My name is Neil and I have been making stained glass windows since 1988.

I first began my stained glass career in a small studio in the Forest of Dean, where I worked mainly on large leaded panels and restoration work. I opened the Mellangth stained glass studio in March 2003.

The studio was originally set up in the West Wales Centre for the Crafts, which is in St Clears, Carmarthenshire. In the summer (2004) I held my first exhibition in the Gallery of the craft centre. The exhibition was well attended and I received very positive feedback from the people who visited.

The studio diversified into creating smaller, more decorative items and gifts suitable for impulse purchasers. Other Galleries saw and liked this work and gradually it has extended too many outlets across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.

In January 2005, the studio was relocated to its present address King Street, Carmarthen. In recent times I have become very interested in hot glass techniques such as fusing and casting glass. This partly led me to return back to college to study for a Master’s degree in glass, of which I am near to completing.
